Virtual portraits

I began making virtual portraits during the pandemic, to connect with others and stay creative. I was unsure about the process yielding satisfying results, but after the first shoot, I was hooked. My first experiments were pretty low res, but the images had a lot of soul. Almost like a modern day Polaroid. Today, the quality is on par with an in person shoot, but virtual portraits allow an intimate and unguarded look at an individual, while also removing costly production barriers. Photographing someone in the comfort of their own space is just one small part of what makes the magic happen, and with the click of a button, I can connect with and photograph people all around the world.
